Above 8 is a contemporary rooftop bar and lounge, situated on level 9 of the brand-new Travelodge hotel in Hurstville. 

We are establishing a creative and energetic team to deliver excellence, not only in service, but customer experience. Surprising ingredients, cocktail theatrics and a passionate team are all part of the experience at Above 8, and all team members are welcome to share ideas and contribute to the concept we are creating.

• Casual rates - $27.15 (Mon - Fri), $32.58 (Sat)
• Part-Time rates - $21.72 (Mon - Fri), $32.58 (Sat) - plus accrued Annual leave & Personal Leave and other entitlements as a permanent employee.

Scope of the role:

• Hosting our guests by greeting, seating and introducing our amazing menu
• Be an 'order maker' through suggestive selling and recommendations 
• Managing a section of tables confidently
• Delivering and introducing our meals and drinks to tables
• Educating guests on our menu items and ingredients
• Assisting in the bar making cocktails, mixed drinks, wine and beer
• Be open to learning and genuinely interested in the items on our menu

Skills & experience:  

• Excellent customer service & communication skills
• Confidence to speak to guests about menu items and ingredients 
• Have a passion for amplifying the guest experience
• The ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively while maintaining a clean environment
• Have a friendly and professional attitude
• Flexibility and vibrant personality
• Excellent personal presentation
• Current NSW RSA essential (or willing to obtain before your start date)
• Display core values of Excellence, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Honesty and Pride.
