A fantastic opportunity exists to join the group in the capacity of a casual Banquet & Functions Cook!

This role will report to the Head Banquet Chef.

Our brand new state-of-the-art, purpose-built Event Centre is the largest event venue in Southern Sydney. Our Event Centre provides the perfect space for your corporate or social function - Southern Sydney Events Centre.

We are looking for someone who will be responsible for:

• Previous experience working in fast-paced environments for events and functions
• Effectively and efficiently running a cooking section in-line with company standards.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of interesting and popular menu ideas.
• Inspire and energise the team to be the best they can be.
• Maintain strong relations, internally and externally.
• Consistently deliver high-quality meals.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order. Follow OH&S compliance at all times. 

Skills & Experience: 

• Cert III Commercial Cookery
• Excellent communicator.
• Needs to be flexible to work around a varying roster across 7 days. 
• Willingness to learn different sections & cuisines.
• Has a high level of personal morale and appearance.
•  A positive and calm attitude. 

Benefits:

• Paid at  Cook Level 5 Grade 4 Casual rate $34.79 plus 11% superannuation in accordance with the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award
